SingPass Enhanced to Improve User Experience with Online Government Services
Come 25 November 2007, Singaporeans who have forgotten their Singapore Personal Access (or SingPass) password will be able to get it reset almost immediately. SingPass is a common online ID and password for users to transact with the Government online.  The enhanced SingPass system will also have a single log-in page as compared to the current two-step process

3 Singapore Initiatives Among World’s Top 20 Innovations

Three Singapore initiatives have made it to the top 20 global innovations for the international “Innovations in Transforming Government Award” by Harvard and IBM.  The top 20 were selected from more than 100 applications from 30 countries.  The three Singapore initiatives, grouped by the award administrator into a single submission, are The CitizenConnect, Mobile Government and The Enterprise Challenge.

Government Continues Infocomm Investment for Public Sector
To further transform the public sector, the Government will continue to invest in infocomm and will call S$730 million worth of new infocomm tenders in Financial Year (FY) 2007, over and above the Standard ICT Operating Environment (SOE) tender for the Public Sector that opens today.

MyeCitizen Portal To Include Both Public And Private Sector Services
The public can now enjoy not only government services, but also services offered by the private sector from a single access point. This is made possible through a partnership between the Government and the NCS Group. As at December 2006, there are more than 64,000 subscribers to MyeCitizen. To bring together the expertise and resources of the public and private sectors so as to deliver value-for-money services to the public, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) decided to let the private sector manage the portal, and to offer related services by integrating the People-Public-Private sector services and processes.
