Introduction:mGov@SG is a one-stop Government mobile site that aggregates different types of Government mobile services (m-services). Launched on 20 June 2011, it brings together mobile browser-based, native application-based and SMS-based services to facilitate individuals and businesses in searching for and identifying m-services provided by the Government. Background:Currently, the Government provides different types of m-services and they are made available through various mobile platforms (such as agencies' Internet websites, App stores such as iTunes, Android Market and Telco App stores). With different types of m-service available and multiple access platforms, mGov@SG would serve as a one-stop convenience to facilitate individuals and businesses to search for and identify government m-services, which are relevant to their mobile devices. Hence, to improve awareness and adoption, mGov@SG is implemented as a mobile website serving as the one-stop directory for Government mobile services, regardless of the delivery channel (i.e. SMS, mobile browser or native applications). mGov@SG will be accessible by any phone with an Internet connection. At the user's preference, mGov@SG can detect the user's phone platform and recommend only relevant m-services that can operate on that platform. | |||||||||||||||||||
